YogaFlow 200 Hour Teacher Training with Gail Robertiello
Gail- the founder of YogaFlow - has been conducting these exciting and successful certification programs for a number of years. We are happy to welcome YogaFlow in our studio!
YogaFlow is an eclectic style of Vinyasa Hatha Yoga that incorporates the synchronization of movement and breath control. Yoga postures are sequenced together interconnecting body, mind and breath. This makes for a free flowing and creative class format with particular attention to postural alignment and body awareness. All levels can benefit from this style of yoga by increasing strength, endurance, flexibility, and control over the senses creating the perfect environment for the reduction of stress and self reflection.
The YogaFlow Teacher Training program is a registered 200 hour course with Yoga Alliance. It is completed in three levels over the course of 6 months. Registration with Yoga Alliance is available upon completion.

Learning the benefits, therapeutic benefits and contraindication of all 44 poses included in the manual and their variations
Developing your Personal Practice for Creative Teaching
Working with various Pranayama Techniques (breath control)
Yoga Philosophy
Hatha Yoga Anatomy, Physiology and Kinesiology
The Bhagavad Gita and The Yoga Sutras
Meditation
The Energy Body including the Chakras, Nadis, Koshas, and Prana Vayus
Ayurveda (the science of life), a comprehensive introduction
An overview of various Styles including Classic Hatha Yoga – traditional yoga, Iyengar – working with props, Viniyoga – a breath centered practice used in therapeutic healing, Ashtanga – Vinyasa and Power Flows and how we incorporate these techniques into our personal practice and teaching
Adjustments and Alignment
Sequencing and creative teaching techniques
Restorative Yoga / Yin Yoga
Mantras, Chanting and Mudras
When working with the above criteria we will be covering: deepening your practice, designing your class, applying teaching skills, practice teaching each training weekend, modifications, teacher ethics, articulating to your class participants in both English and Sanskrit terminology, and intro to Yoga Therapy. Upon completion of this course the student will graduate with a deeper knowledge and a more comprehensive understanding of yoga not only as a physical exercise program but as a spiritual practice. As we learn from this mystical, practical philosophy, our personal journey deepens and allows us to incorporate these teachings into our daily life. East meets west, integrating body, mind and spirit. Honoring the integrity of this 5000 year old tradition we learn to incorporate its ancient teachings into modern living.
Schedule (2011 TT):
Tentative scheduled training sessions are as follows: Friday evenings 6 – 10pm, Saturdays 11:00am – 7:00pm and Sundays 11:00am – 7:00pm. These sessions meet for nine weekends beginning January 2011 ending June 2011.

Gail Robertiello - E-R.Y.T., P.Y.T., is the founder of YogaFlow. She began her journey teaching group fitness classes and personal training and was a co-owner of a women’s fitness center. Soon after she discovered yoga and instantly fell in love with the practice. Yoga brought together her love of exercise and dance integrating the two disciplines into a life altering practice. She holds a 1000 hour Professional Yoga Therapist/Teacher Certification with Integrative Yoga Therapy and is a Reiki Master Practitioner. Yoga has been her passion for over a decade which has guided her into deepening her personal practice and teaching skills. Taking workshops and training programs she feels is an important part of personal growth and loves sharing her experiences with her students. She has studied with yoga teachers such as Erich Schiffmann, Dharma Mittra, John Friend, and Joseph La Page as well as Ma Bha and Bharati, meditation and Sanskrit Scholars, at the Ananda Ashram. She is also a member of the Yoga Society of New York, Ananda Ashram in Monroe, NY and is a member of IAYT International Association of Yoga Therapy. Besides teaching daily classes, workshops, retreats and private therapeutic yoga sessions she certifies yoga teachers at the 200 hour & New 500 hour level in her YogaFlow Body & Mind Teacher Training Certification Programs. Gail feels that each of her students in every class situation is special and unique and offers plenty of individual attention in a nurturing atmosphere. Her love for life and enthusiasm makes studying yoga with her both fun and educational while exploring your own spiritual journey.
